Puerto Rico Relief Fundraiser Logo
My mother created a fundraiser for Puerto Rican relief after Hurricane Maria. The fundraiser would include a live and silent auction and all the proceeds would go towards Puerto Rican relief. Puerto Rican culture has been a part of my roots and I have been there many times. I thought that it was a great idea and I wanted to help in anyway that I could. I was asked to create a logo for the fundraiser. I was asked to include the island of Puerto Rico as well as the hashtag “#PuertoRicoSeLevanta”. I then went into Adobe Illustrator to make the logo. I also knew that the lighthouse tower in “El Morro” was a very iconic symbol for Puerto Rico so I wanted to include that as well. I chose red, white, and blue for the logo as those colors are a part of their flag. The result is below.
